About Dr. Dennison-Gibby


Dr. Sophie Dennison-Gibby is a board-certified veterinary radiologist with advanced training in diagnostic imaging and a background in marine mammal medicine and pathology. She graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh, in 2000.

After graduation, she practiced in mixed animal medicine and later in emergency and critical care in the United Kingdom, while volunteering with the RSPCA and the UK National Stranding Network/BDMLR. In 2004, she moved to the United States for consecutive internship and residency positions in marine mammal medicine and pathology at UC Davis and The Marine Mammal Center.

In 2006, Dr. Dennison-Gibby began her ACVR-accredited radiology residency at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and achieved ACVR board certification in 2009. She became an Adjunct Professor of Radiology in 2010 and attained RCVS Specialist status in 2012.

Dr. Dennison-Gibby is a primary author or coauthor on more than 60 peer-reviewed publications and has contributed numerous chapters on diagnostic imaging to veterinary textbooks.

She’s currently based in the Washington, DC area, providing high-quality teleradiology services to clients worldwide. She is proud to support Remedy Veterinary Specialists with expert radiology interpretation and diagnostic imaging guidance.
