About Dr. Qahwash
Dr. Mona Qahwash is a board-certified veterinary neurologist with a clinical focus on complex brain and spinal disorders. She brings a wealth of clinical expertise and a thoughtful, measured approach to neurological care at Remedy Veterinary Specialists.
Originally from Michigan, Dr. Qahwash earned her undergraduate degree in zoology and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University. She completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, followed by a focused neurology and neurosurgery internship at Georgia Veterinary Specialists in Atlanta. She then completed her residency in Neurology and Neurosurgery at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 2017.
Dr. Qahwash is board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Neurology) and has particular expertise in complex neurologic conditions, surgical interventions, and improving the quality of life for pets with chronic neurologic disease.
